Polar Plunge - Special Olympics Illinois

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to support such a wonderful organization.

Jay Loomis is swimming in February, again! The athletes of the Special Olympics need your support!

"I have committed to “be bold and get cold” for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois by taking not one, but 24 icy dips into the frigid winter waters! That's right, I will be jumping into Lake Michigan once an hour, every hour, for 24 hours straight!

While I’m getting cold just thinking about it, I’m excited to join this elite group and challenge myself during the 24 hour SUPER Plunge. The cold I’ll experience is temporary; the positive impact this event makes on the lives of Special Olympics athletes across Illinois will last a lifetime!

I’m not asking you to plunge alongside me, but I hope you will support my efforts by making a donation to Special Olympics Illinois. Any amount is appreciated – it all goes to one “cool” cause and gets me that much closer to my goal. Best of all, your donation helps provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to participate in Special Olympics programs and reveal their inner champion.

Donating through this site is simple, fast, and secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois. If you would like to learn more about this “official event of winter,” visit www.plungeillinois.com for all of the chilly details.

Thanks in advance for your support – and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!"
